Max Schmidt, a native of Riesa, has built a remarkable international career in the field of climate policy. As one of only a few East Germans actively involved in international climate negotiations, he has traveled to various UN Climate Change Conferences across the world. Since 2022, he has been presenting and moderating sessions on climate finance, sharing his insights through media outlets such as the Leipziger Volkszeitung, LinkedIn, and numerous podcasts.

This is an amazing opportunity to learn about:

• His career path from Riesa to the international stage
• His experiences in the UK before and after Brexit
• The role of the ERASMUS+ program
• And why climate action matters more than ever

Prof. Dr. Frank Thunecke, who coordinates the ERASMUS+ programs on our campus, will also be there to answer your questions regarding studying or working abroad.
